Introduction to Selecting a Corporate Finance Adviser

I can remember sitting in front of a managing director of a company considering a management buy-out.  He said I have a big problem in selecting an adviser. I only know one adviser well, the companies, I only know one solicitor well, the companies and only one bank well, the companies.  He had spent some time trying to identify advisers to support him but had found it difficult.

Even in the scenario where it is the company that is acting, their existing advisers may not be expert in this field. You will only sell your business or do an MBO once so it is important you get the best advice you can.

It is unlikely a good adviser will get a bad deal done but a weak adviser can seriously hamper even a good deal.

Use the searches on the right to find; advisers, lawyers, finance providers, specialists, articles, publications, events, news and information to assist you in selecting advisers to interview.
